The history of thinking the moon landing was fake comes from a whole group of conspiracy theorists who have just believe crazy things like aliens have come to kill us or whatever. But this is the most sensible theory, it makes sense at points, and not in a weird way. It shows that sometimes the weirdest things make the most sense.

From the beginning |
Where we are now |
The first mention of the Moon Landing being fake is from the self published Bill Kaysing. He wrote We Never Went to the Moon: America's Thirty Billion Dollar Swindle. This book gave metaphorical birth to many of the moon conspiracies.
|
The present theories about the moon are still going about as strong as they were in the seventies except, there's internet now. The information superhighway has given birth to a new group of theorists.

I'm going to use these six obvious stock photos as a way to illustrate my take from all of this. Any one of these people could believe that the moon landing was fake, maybe all of them believe it was fake we don't know. But we don't know what their opinion is because we don't know who they are, we literally know nothing about them. So don't judge people for thinking the moon landing was fake, that's just their logical way of thinking.
